Elroy Laidlaw retuned home with her husband who spent the week -end holiday here. Nat Thompson of Lucknow visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.. Victor Emerson. Rev. Horace Braden of Lon- don was a dinner guest with Mrs. Charles Tiffin of Wingham. Mrs. Wellman, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Watt of Toronto, visited on Wednes- day of last week with her uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Millan Moore. Mrs.. Weliman's husband is in Viet Nam and in his absence she is residing in Toronto , near her parents. Mrs. Don Gray of London arrived on Saturday and_on Sun- day took her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Magoffin to London. They celebrated the passing of grade 12 examinations by Bon- nie Gray and Linda Magoffin and the birthday of Lar ice Ma- goffin. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emer- son and Mrs. Tom Jamieson were at Huronview, Clinton, on Saturday. Mrs. Jamieson visited with her mother, Mrs. Mabel Stapleton and Mr. and Mrs. Emerson visited with Mrs. Charles Thompson, formerly of 9Lucknow and Mrs. Sam Hutchi- son of Wingham. e' Mrs. Fred Davis of Wingham spent the week -end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Farrier. Thea Bantam softball team played at Blyth Thursday night with a score 19-7 in favor of Blyth. Whitechurch lost to Wingham 8-6 on Wednesday in Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Goidon Scott of Ripley and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hill of Sault Ste. Marie called last Wednesday on Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caslick. In the summer of 1929 Jim assisted with the farm work at the home of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Morris- on left on Saturday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stock - hill and family of South Porcu- pine. Harold and Kenny re- turned home with them on Sun- day to spend a few weeks with their grandparents. King. Misses Mary Henderson of Lucknow and Darlene Simpson went to Toronto on Saturday by train where they were met by their aunt, Mrs. Arthur :-.
