Mrs. Gibson Gillespie had
the misfortune to fall last Wed-
nesday at her home here, in-
juring her shoulder. She is still
a patient at Wingham and.Dis-
trict Hospital, Her many friends
and the community wish her a•
speedy recovery.

and Miss Marilyn Robertson on
passing their grade 8 music ex-
am. Both 'are pupils of Miss
Iva. Mai Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Forster
of Palmerston were. Sunday visi-

Chalmers Presbyterian
Church basement floor was re-
moved last week. The wooden
floor was sinking because of
dry rot. On Saturdax.loads of
gravel arrived to fill foundation
watch will then be topped with
cement.
Miss Marilyn Rchertson,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex
Robertson and a student at East
Wawanosh Public School, gave
the valedictory address at the
grade 8 graduation exercises
held at the school Friday even-
ing. She also received the pro-
ficiency award as highest girl
for grade 8.

Mrs. Lawrence Taylor and fam-
ily were Mr. and Mrs. Russel
Beadle of B. C. , and Mr. and
Mrs. J. Thompson of Goderich.
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin McClen-
aghan, Mary Lou, Ronald., Nan-
cy and her friend, Barbara Mc-
Intee of St. Thomas, were Sun-
day visitors with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ben McClenaghan and
brother, Carl McClenaghan and

Brucelea Haven, Walkerton,
spent the week -end with Mrs.
H. D. MacDonald and Mrs. F.
Coulter, and visited other rela-
tives here. She also attended
anniversary service at Langside
on Sunday.
