Whitechurch Personal Notes
On Tuesday Mrs. Bill Evans,
Mrs.. Ben McClenaghan and Mrs.
J'i'r McInnes accompanied Mr.
and Mts. Victor Emerson to the
Grey North District annual meet-
ing held at Bognor.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Olson of Li-
vonia spent the week -end with
Mrs. Charles Tiffin, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Tiffin, Russell Ritchie
and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emer-
son.
Those attending Bruce South
District annual meeting held at
Ripley on Thursday were Mrs.
Robert Ross, Mrs. James Mc -
Innes, Mrs. Bill Evans, Mrs.
Ezra Scholtz, Mrs,, Garnet Far-
rier, Mrs. Wallace Conn, Mrs.
Russel Ross, Mrs. Dave Gibb
and Mrs. Victor Emerson. The
Whitechurch ladies, Mrs. Scholtz
arid Mrs. Evans, were song lead-
ers and Mrs. Farrier pianist for
the meeting.
Mrs. Willis Lapp of Wing -
ham visited Monday with her
mother, Mrs. William Orr of
Langside.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Simpson
and family had as pests Mr.
and Mrs. Douglas Simpson, Cur-
rie, Anne, Jack and David of
Culross Township, and Mr. and
Mrs. James Wilson of London
and Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson
Jr. of Toronto.
On Friday afternoon fifteen
C.O. C. members of Chalmers .
Church, with their leaders,
Mrs. Archie Purdon and Mrs .
Hugh Simpson, held a picnic
in the woods on the farm across
from Archie Purdon's. Games
were played. After a hike
through the woods hot dogs were
enjoyed.
Mrs. Ezra Scholtz accomp-
anied Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Ap-
pleby to Barrie on the week-

end to visit with Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Appleby and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emer-
son were in Elmwood on Wed-
nesday where Mrs. Emerson at-
tended the Gray Centre W.I.
district annual meeting.
Visitors on the week -end
with Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Tif-
fin were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hen-
derson and Jim of London, on
Saturday, and }4r. and Mrs.
Wallace Wilson and Wanda of
West Wawanosh Township on
Sunday.
Mrs. Jack Tierney and Karen
of Port Elgin and her mother,
Mrs. Tom Magoffin, visited in
London from Thursday to Satur-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Don
Gray and family and 'Mr. and
Mrs. Lansley Magoffin and fam-
ily.
Mr. and Mrs. Sid Paine of
Toronto called recently on Mr.
and Mrs. Orville Tiffin.
Mr. and Mrs. hector Fulton,
Sylvia and Raymond of Strata -
Loy were week -end visitors with
his mother, Mrs. A. E. Purdon
and sister Mrs. Cecil Falconer,
Sunday visitors at the same
home were Hugh .Poole acid two
sons of Toronto.
Mrs. Don Leader and family
of Gorrie were Sunday visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Currie.

Johnston of Parkhill, who on
May 17 graduated from univer-
sity and received his Bachelor
of Divinity degree. His mother,
Mrs. Harold Johnston, was -the
former Laura Conn of this lo-
cality.

sonic service at Ripley on Sun-
day.

time it sponsors a rummage sale. As a
matter of fact, some things turn up which
nobody seems to, be able to name.
