Fordwich United Church Men's
Club was held in the Sunda y
School rooms with the largest
attendance yet recorded, 80
boys and men present. Supper
was served by the C. G. I. T.

scouting activities. Bruce Col-
well, scout troop leader, was
also present.

votions were taken by four of
the boys, Bradley Johnson, Bob

BREAKS LEG
GORRIE--Mrs. Gordon Ed-
gar, fell down stairs while
visiting at the home of Mr. and
Ma. Glen Black, Hamilton.
She was taken to St. Joseph's
Hospital and x=rays revealed a
break above the ankle. A full

unit of U. C. W. held th e i r
meeting in the Sunday School
rooms. The worship service
was taken by, Mrs. C r os b y
Sothern and Mrs. Bert Wylie on
the theme, "The Church in the
Community". The program, a
chapter frbm'the study book,
"China", was presented, by Mrs.
Clarence Carswell, Mrs. Wil-
liam Clyne and Mts. Austin
Stinson. Several Chinese art-
icles were shown by Mrs. Stin-
son.
Mrs. W. M. Wilson, unit
leader, presided for the business
period .The roll call was an-
swered by a mother from the
Bible. The ladies quilted dur-
ing the afternoon and a salad
supper was served by Mrs. Jack
Wilson, Mrs. Harding and Mrs.
Verna Galbraith.
