bowling banquet
FORDWICH--The April
meeting of St. Anne's Guild
was held at the home of Mrs.
Ruby Forster.. The meeting op-
• ened with the singing of "On a
Hill Far Away", folloWed by
the Lord's prayer:
Mrs. Dave Dinsmore read a
chapter from the study book
"The Awakening Fairest" and
also two poems: "Now Is the
Time, " and "Easter Dawn".
The minutes of the last meet-
ing were read by Mrs. W. Har-
grave and "roll call, in exchange
of plants, seeds or bulbs was
responded to by 16 members. "
The treasurer's report was given
by Mrs. William Sothern.
Mcmbers discussed catering
to the bowling banquet on Ap-
ril 1'9, and groups were appoint-
ed to be in charge of vaiious '
details concerning this.
The president, Mrs. Jack
D o u g l as , closed the meeting
with prayer.
Mrs. Ruby Armstrong was in
charge of the program for the
evening. She had two interest-
ing contests. Mrs. William
Sothcrn's group had a few games
of bingo, and lunch was served
by Miss Elva Foster and Mrs.
Curtis Jordan.
