S. of Knox Presbyterian Church, was held in she -church school room on Wednesday af- ternoon. After a delicious meal and some time spent quilting, the devotions were conducted by the president, Mrs. H. Bal- lagh. Roll call was answered by many inspiring thoughts for Easter. Mrs. George Nickel was in. charge of the topic for the day and an interesting dis- cussion period followed. During the business part of the meeting plans for the.Easter Thankoffering were discussed. The theme of the worship service was, ''Our Christian Task --Ambassadors of Loving Good Will". Mrs. Spar - ling Johnston, Miss Emma John- ston and Mrs. Harvey Timm illustrated -the theme. Easter hymns were sung with 'Mrs. Carl Johnston accompanist. It was reported that. 2 32 pounds of clothing were sent to the Overeas,Relief Depot. A donation will be sent to help pay shipping charges. . It was planned to have a sup- per on May 28th followed by a concert. A committee was. named to make arraitgenteiits. Easter services BLUEVALE -Easter services with special sermons and Easter music were held at both Knox Presbyterian and United Churches on Sunday. The Knox Church Sunday school was,start- ed for the summer months. In the United Church Miss Ruth Mathers, Miss Elizabeth Goldthorpe and Miss Margaret Craig sang a trio, and a solo was sung by Miss Betty Hether- ington, with Mrs. Carl Johnston accompanying.
