• We are sorry that illness has
again plagued two of our area
residents. Miss Frances Inglis
is again hospitalized in, Wing -
ham, as is Mr. Thomas Abra-
ham. We hope that both are
greatly improved by the time
this is, read.
Miss Mae Johann attended
an Insurance seminar in Toron-
to last week.
Still not too much activity
at the Sugar Shanty, as this is
being written, but we hope as
you're reading it things will
have started to hum and the
sap -boilers are busy. Don't
forget --pancakes and maple
syrup are being served in the
arena, each evening from the
time the sap starts to run. Drop

Rev. Douglas 0. Fry, minis-
ter of First Presbyterian Church,
Seaforth since 1962, has ac-
cepted a call to Knox Presby-
terian Church, Red Deer, Al-
berta. Mr. Fry will preach his
farewell services at Seaforth and
Bayfield Presbyterian Church ori
Easter Sunday.
Mr. Fry, a native of Wing -
ham, is the son of Mrs. Nor-
man Fry. He received his edu-
cation here and was for some
years employed at CKNX be-
fore entering the ministry. He
was ordained in St. Andrew's
Church, Wingham, in 19 58 .
Mr. Fry went to Seaforth
from the Iroquois and S o u th
Mountain charge. He is clerk
of the Stratford -Huron Presby-
tery, padre of Branch 156 of the
Royal Canadian Legion and was
for several years town represent -
ative on the Seaforth Commun-
ity Hospital Board.
Mrs. Fry is the former Bette
Lewis, daughter of Mrs. Ernie
Lewis of Lucknow. Mrs. ,Fry
is also a native of Wingham.
They have four children,
Douglas who is married and
lives in Toronto, Peggy Ann of
Kitchener, Mary Jean, a grade
nine student, and Christopher ,

er, followed by a hymn. Scrip-
ture was read by Mrs„ Eidon
Renwick and- Mt:. Jack highs.
Mrs. Leslie Harkness read the
meditation on the Resurrection.
Devotions closed with prayer.
Mrs. Clark Renwick and
Mrs. Mac Inglis were in charge
of the study period and present-
ed the third chapter of " M a n
' Alive". Roll call was a verse
on Easter. For die feature.
Mrs. Bruce Harkness read two
poems, "The World Is Mine"
and "Cheer up, Things Aren't
So Bad".
During the business, Mrs.
Jack Inglis gave a report on the
Bruce Presbyterial that washed
in Port Elgin. The members
also planned to attend the Eas-
ter Thankoffering meeting Of
the Belmore U. C. W. to beheld
on April 10th.
The president closed the
meeting with an Easter prayer
° and lunch was served by the

Prayer service

DONNYBROOK --The March
meeting of the U. C. W. was
held Tuesday afternoon of last'
week at the home of Mrs. Ed-
ward Robinson with a good at-
tendance and four visitors. The
World Day of Prayer program
was used. The theme "Growing
Together in Christ" was led by
Mrs. John Hildebrand with M`s..
Margaret Leddy, Mrs. Edward
Robinson, Mrs. Hilliard'Jeffer-
son and Mrs. Emest Snowden
assisting.
After a period 'of prayer, the.
African spiritual, "KumBa Yah
was sung. Prayers were read by
the leaders with the other mem-
bers responding.
After singing "Lord ofLight"
Mrs. Hildebrand introduced the
guest speaker, Mrs. M. Roberts
of Auburn, who gave a veryin-
spir ng message on prayer.
Mrs. Stuart Chamney reC iv-
ed the offering and Mrs. Hi1ae-
brand gave the dedication pray-
er. ' "TbeDay Thou Gavest, •
Lord Is Ended,'. was sung and
Mrs. Hildebrand gave the bene-
diction. After a, moment of si-
lence, a prayer -was repeated in
unison.
Lunch was served by thehost-
elm assisted by the leaders.
