Kett Roe Shobbrook, 88,,
of Wingham died in McKellar
General Hospital, Fort William,
on March ,5th from injuries re-
ceived- in a transport accident,
Mr. Shobbrook, who had
been with Walden Transport for
the past ten years operating be"
tween Wingbarn and the West-
ern provinces, had 'beena trans-
port operator for 22 years. He
had completed over a million
miles without an accident.
Born in Hullett Township. he
was the son of' the late'Howard-
Shobbrook and Alice Vodden.
He attended 'school in Hullett.
His wife. the former Marilyn
Fear of R. R 4, Brussels, sur-
vives. There are three chil-
dren, all pt home, Sharon 11,
Sheila 9, and Bradley 2.
He is also survived by two
brothers, Dennis of Galt and
Gordon of Londesboro.
Mr. Shobbrook was a mem-
ber of Wingham United Church.
Service was held Saturday
afternoon,at the R. A. Currie
and Son funeral home with
burial in Wingham Cemetery.
Rev. K. Barry Passmore of
Wingham United Church offici-
ated. Pallbearers were George
Lucas, William Walden, Bert
Shobbt+ook, Clifford-Saunder-
cock, Murray Lyon and Thomas
Cronin. The flower bearers
were Eric Walden and Ron Wal-

Mrs. W. Clarke
dies in Ingersoll
BLUEVALE--Mrs. Wilfred
Clarke died in. Ingersoll Nursing
Home on March 7th, at the age
of /9. •
She was formerly Margaret
Thomas, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Thomas
and was bom in Bluevale where
she attended school. She was
the last surviving member of a
large family. Her husband pre-
deceased her many years ago.
Surviving are nieces and
nephews. Bernard Thomas, of
Bluevale is a nephew.

struck with a car and received .
severe injuries in Los Angeles,
Calif. He has spent some time
in Santa Monica Hospital but is
now in a.convalescent home,
