THIRD PERIOD
The Wingham Kerr brothers
combined for a 'pretty goal at
5.30 as George fed brother Bill
a pass in front of the net and
Bill' with a Listowel player on
his shoulders put the puck in the
net with a fine sweeping back
hand shot. Listowel's Kaufman
scored his second of the game,
when he tipped in a rebound .

- bers of Howick Legion Braneh 307, are seen at a recent
Legion gathering in Listowel° Mr. Gilmar and Mr.' Inglis
joined the Brussels Legion` in 1932. • They have been
members of Howick Branch°since it was formed in 1940.

In the first game, . played in
Walkerton, it was Wingham 8,
Walkerton 1. Goalgetters in
that contest were Armstong,
with 3, Templeman and Mar=x
Kinnon with 2 each and B o b',"

trophy with a J0-2 /count. Goal -
getters in that game were Arm-
strong, Fleury, Bob Corrigan
each with two, and singles
went to Templeman; Don Mac-
Kinnon, Jim MacKinnon and
Glen Momingstar.
The turnout at the last few
games has been good and the
boys will need all .the support •
that the fans can produce on
the road to the Alli -Ontario
championship. The team is
full of zest and team spirit, and
their hockey is fast.
Wingham meets Fergus this
week in thequarter-finals. of
the-O.M.H,A., and since
neither,of.xhese: teams.have.:. .

Belmore Tykes win
semi-final series
Belmore Tykes, who were
one game ahead in their semi-
final series with Wroxeter as of
this column last week, have
now wrapped up the series.
Thursday evening in Gorrie they
were defeated by the Wroxeter
boys who won 4-2, David Kief-
fer responsible for bo th our
goals: On Saturday, however,
they came back to defeat Wrox-
eter 7-2 , and win the series two
games to one.' David Kieffer
again led with 6 goals,. Bradley
Weishar knocked in 1. The
Tykes now move to the final
series.
The Squirts played an exhi-
bition game in Teeswater on
Saturday with that team defeat-
ing them 8-4; goal-scoirers were
Jimmy Mawhinney and Garth
Dickert with 2 each.
The PeeWees also played
only one game last week, on
Friday evening in Gorrie, de-
feating that team 3-2. Belmore
goals were scored by- B r u c e
Dickert, Jim McBurney and
"George Fischer. Both these
teams are now waiting to rush
headlong into their semi-final
series. 1 .
Belmore.Bantams played
three games last week. On Tues-
day evening . in an exhibition
game with Teeswater, they
slaughtered that t e a rn 8-1,
Shayne Goldrich responsible for
three goals, Pat O'Malley with
2, Jim Harkness, Paul Kieffer
and Mervyn Weishar with one
each. On Thursday evening
the boys defeated Gorrie in a
game in that village; the score
was 8-3 and scorers were:
Weishar with 2 , Douglas Jeffray,
~Douglas Baird, Shayne Gold -
rich, Richard Inglis; Jirr'i Hark-
ness and Paul Kieffer , with one
each. On Fri',ay, they travel-
led to Kurtzville, but the ta-
bles wereturned as they were
downed 10-1, Goldrich getting
the lone counter.
In Midget play.. Belmore
boys won 6-2 over Kurtzville
on Wednesday evening; Rick
McPherson., George Harkness,
and Alan Dickson each got two
goals. On Friday evening, in
the local arena, they defeated
Belgrave 6-3; Alan Dickson with
4 goals, Rick McPherson and
Murray Willits with one each.
Junior Bowling
BANTAMS
There were 6 bowlers that
were really in good form Satur-
day, I'm afraid the others were
trying too hard for that 120 and
twisting their wrists.
Gar'nes over 120 were Cathy
Schiestel 162 and 158, Jay Mac=

day evening and :came out on
the short end of an 8 to 5 score.
FIRST PERIOD
. It was a rough first period
with Wingham getting four of
the six penalties. Milverton
jumped to a three goal lead as •
they got goals from the sticks
of Fred Kauk at 3.15, Murray
Kerr at 6.47 and .Bob Grapp at
16.20, that last goal coming .
with Wingham having two play-
ers in the penalty box.
SECOND PERIOD
Both teams scored three goals
in the second. Wingham scored
at 6.35 with the man advantage
on a three-way passing play, -

Blyth in Belgrave on Tuesday

ard Harrow scored. Wingham
came back flying in the last

ond span. The first one com-
ing when Don Willie picked up
a rebound from Bain ' s shot.
The second one came as Elwood.
