Mrs. J. Lockridge,
dies in 92nd year
Mrs. ,john Lockridge, a well-
known resident of Winghaxn,
died in. hospital here en Janu-
ary 3 after a short illness.
She was the former Mary
Ann Hergott,. daughter of the
late John Hergott and his wife,
Frances Diemert. She was born
in Riversdale, April 22, 1877.
She had lived in Winghamsince
her marriage to Mr. Lockridge
who predeceased her in May.
1948.
Mrs. Lockridge-was a mem-
ber of Sacred Heart Church and
was a life member of the Cath-
olic. Women's League.
She is survived by a daugh-
ter; Mrs. Gilbert (Frances) Fras-
er of Niagara 'Fal, N. Y. , and
one son, Alfred Lockridge of
Wingham. There are 14 grand-
' children, 39 great-grandchil-
dren and one great-greatgrand-
chld. ° She is also t?orvived/by
a sister, Mrs. Ambrose (Barbara)
Beninger. -
Two sons predeceased her,
Walter and. Samuel.
Service was held at` Sacred
Heart Church on Monday morn-
ing with Rev., J. G. Mooney of-
ficiating,

Blyth resident
dies in Clinton
A,
Charles Walter Cook of Blyth
passed away in Clinton Public
Hospital on Sunday, December
22nd,' in his 84th year. Born
aucl :; ised lin East W awanosh;
he attended S, S. No. 6 East
Wawahiosh and later farmed in
the area. He moved to Blyth
in 1959. He was a .member of
Blyth United Church.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Charlotte Tunney; two
daughters, Mrs, Lloyd (Mary)
Walden of Westfield and Mrs.'
Alvin (Gene) Snell of Blyth;
one brother, Gordon of Coch-
rane and two sisters, Mrs. May
Carter,,. Woodstock. and Mis.
Eva McKnight of Sarnia. There
are ten grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
.He was predeceased by one -
daughter,� Laverne, two 'sisters,
Lily Bell and Mrs. Lizzie Snell,
and brothers; Jasper, Tom, Da-
vid,, Fred, George and Wesley.

Mrs. J. R. Brigham
died suddenly

Mrs. Elsie Agnes Brigham • -
passed away suddenly Christmas
morning at her home in Hullett
Township. She was' in her 77th
year.
The daughter of the late
Charles H. and Mary Rowan
Wightman, she was educated
at 5. S. 13, East W awanosh and
lived on the 7th Concession
until the family m o v ed, to
Whitechurch in 1925. $he was
married August 29, 1927 to
James Ralph Brigham who pre-
deceased her in 1930. Mrs.
Brigham had resided on. the
Brigham farm, from the bine of
her marriage, until her death.
,She is survived by two sons,
James Kenneth at home and
Charles Ralph of Sarnia, five
grandchildren and one sister,
Mrs. °Borden (May) Scott of
R. R. 3 ; Blyth. • She was prede•
-
ceased by two brothers, Ivan
and George Wightman.
'Funeral service on ;jDecerm-
ber2 7 was `held .at the Tasker
Memorial Chapel, Blyth with
.Rev. W. 9. Mather officiating.
Temporary.:entombment was in
Blyth Cemetery Chapel. Burial
will be in Blyth Cemetery.

Howatt, Tray Griffith, Ruusell
McDonald. and Miller Richmond,
all of Blyth, and Sam Scott of
