At 12.23 Milverton closed the gap -when .Scritngedur fired a ,blistering shot .from the point which came pretty close to . catching -the Wingham goalie right in the face --it was a real bullet. Nice to see Milverton with such a good fan turnout; there must have been about 400 or more there ...Hats off to our defence crew, although only three in number, Jim Bain, Gord Cer- son and Ken Henry, all played a terrific game...And what about`that "HIP -HIP" line of Houston, Irwin and Peacock being .elevated to the first_ line? They surely were flying,count- , ing far' or assisting on all six goals... Would have':to say per- haps the biggest difference,be- tween"the two teams was in ° /net. ' Milverton'goalie Mike . Mohr played one of his poorer efforts, •whereas Gary Sutton in, the Wingham net made some brilliant saves,°_kicking them out, picking them off -'-a real superb effort... One of our ° players ran into one -of those embarassing situations as he sped over the Milverton blue - line with full control of the, puck, Just *as he was about to shoot he heatcLa° tin -like tinkle• at his feet and as he looked down he was noticed to -blush ' just a -little when he 'hound he ho longer had the puck but there do his stick on the ice was a very important piece of his hockey equipment not usually displayed to the .paying fans..
