AN ILL 'WIND-- •
Though driving conditions
over Christmas were about as
bad as they could be, apparent-

Suit.' There were no serious ..
accidents in the Wingham area.
With blinding snowstorms and
slippery roads even the most
foolhardy drivers were slowed
to a cautious crawl' Though
many fenders were dented and
a lot of vehicles came to minor
grief in skids, 'no one was, seri-
ously hurt. That's the finest
Christmas present we could

HOSPITAL FESTIVITIES --
Though the Wirighatn and
District Hospital was crowded
with patients over the ytr 1 e
holidays, many individuals
and organizations in the area
helped to brighten the days of
confinement. Treats of food
and a number of tinging grou
added to the festive spirit. We
