Human Rights is
new study program
BELGRAVE--The Christmas
meeting of the Belgrave Wo-
men's Institute was held in•.the
community rooms on Tuesday
afternoon of last week with Mts.
Ivan Wightman presiding. Sev-
eral thank you notes were re-
ceived. Mrs. J. M. Coultes
and Mrs. Herson Irwin offered
to buy a Christmas gift for the
war veteran at WestminsterHos-
pital, London.
There will be an open euchre
in the Belgrave Hall, January
3rd, to transfer the hall from
the Foresters to the Women's
Institute.
Mrs. Norman Coultes re-
ported on the Women's Institute
Workshop held in Clinton early
in November. Mrs. Pardy,
editor of Home and Country,
was the chairman and said how
proud the ladies should be, to
be members of an Institute.
Human Rights is the study pro-
gram for this' year.
Mrs. Harold Procter was con-
vener of the program. The roll
call was answered by naming
a childhood memory of Christ-
mas. Mrs. Ross Higgins gave a
reading, "Christmas Shopping".

Coultes, Mrs. Stan Hopper and r
Mrs. George -Procter, accom-
panted by Mrs. George John-
ston, sang "The Wonderful
Saviour of Men" and "Silver
Bells". Mrs. Robert Procter

Carol singing was enjoyed
with Mrs. J. M. Coulter as ac•
compantst. Mrs. Ivan Wight -
man read the Christmas letter
by Vera McNichol.
Mrs. John Roberts told about
winter and Christmal in Wales.
