Mrs. J. A. Jones
dies in 83rd year
• Mrs. James Albert Jones 'of
Wingham died Thursday, De-
cember 12 atitiuronvieW in
Clinton. Although she had suf-
fered a long illness death came
suddenly as a result of a coron-
ary thrombosis. •
Born on the North Line of
Kincardine Township 82 years
ago, she was the former Ma-
tilda Louise Manners, daughter
of the late Mr, and Mrs. Adam
Manners. She was a decsend-.
ant of one of the early pioneer
families of Kincardine Town-
ship, Bruce County and was a
• rust consin, of the late Andrew
E. Robinson, M.P. for Bruce. •
On April 18, 1906 she mar-
ried James Albert Jones at Mil-
larton. She was church organist
there for many years. In 1930
Mr. and Mrs. Jones moved to
Turnberry Township. Her hus-
band died July 19, 1952. TwO
years later she left the farm'
and for the past 14 years has
made her home with her daugh-
ters, Mrs. Roy Cullen of Clio -
ton and Mrs. Witmer Harcourt •
• of Wingham. She entered
Wingham and District 'Hospital "
last summer and went to Hunin-
view in early fall.
Mrs. Jones was a. member -
of Wingham Baptist Church and
the Senior WOmen's Circle.

day afternoon at the S. J. Walk-
er funeral home on Patrkk
Street with temporary entomb-
ment in the Kincardine Mau-
soleum, Rev. Bruce Penny of
the Wingham Baptist Church of-
ficiated. ,
Pallbearers were Ivan Mc-
Farlan, Kenneth Jones, Elmer
McFarlan, John Cullen, James
' McFarlan and Lindeen Shackle-
ton. Flower bearers were Leon-
ard Mcrarlan and Gerald.

survived by a daughter, Mrs.
Robert (Clara) Quinn of Toron-

grandchildren.
He also leaves three sister,
Mrs. J. M. (Jessie) Howell,
M.rs. George (Edna) McMurdo
and Mrs.' J. H. (Flora) Jermyn,
all of Toronto, and one brother,
Gordon Gannett of Wingham.

don Pengelly, Rag. 1, Belgrave.
She was employed at Campbell
Soup do. Ltd.', Listowel.
Surviving besides her parents
and her husband are two sons,
Dean, 8 and, Craig, 5; a daugh-
ter, Cindy, 6; three -sisters,

Exeter, Mrs. 'Harold (Lillian)
