endure. ..At the conclusion of
her report, Mrs. Elston thanked
the W. I,.. for the privilege 'of
attending the convention.

dies with their choral numbers.
Lunch was then served by the
hostesses, Mrs. J. Halliday,
Mrs. Boss, Miss Linklater, , Mrs.
F. •Edgar and. Miss Simpson.
Acclamations in
Morris,- Wawanosh
R, B. Cousins was elected to
the reeveship of the Village of
Brussels when he was unopposed
at the nomination meeting.
The Brussels council seats
were also filled by acclama-
tion, those elected being T, G.
Campbell, R. W. Kennedy,
Jack L. McCutcheon and H. J.
Tenpas%
Acclamations also filled the
P. U. C. posts, John Hanna and
C. L. Workman being elected.

There was an acclamation
in East Wawanosh, returning
Roy"Pattison as reeve. Council
'seats were also filled without a -
vote. The councillors are.

rooms last Wednesday evening.

aldson spent last week in Guelph
where Mr.. Donaldson attended
a course at the University.

{ ,After a lengthy illness, Edna
Ann Donaldson, beloved wife
of the late Lewis MacDonald,
entered into rest at Win ani
I and Di*triot Hospital on Mon --
f day. Naveruber 18,, in her th
year. She was a. daughter of
the. late John Donaldson and
Hester Watson,
Born on Concession 11,, Cul-
roas Township, she lived on the
family faum until moving to
Teeswater in 19.58 where she re-
sided since, On June 23, 1926
she married Lewis MacDonald
who predeceased her in 1946.
A life-long member of Knox
Presbyterian Church, she was
also a former president of the
Fellowship Circle, a life mem-
ber of the W. M. S. a member
of the Ladies' Aid and a former
member of the church choir.
For the past number. of years
she was on the staff of the
Wingham and District Hospital.
The many floral tributes,
the donations to ithe Cancer
Society, and the Gideons show
the high esteem in which the
deceased was held.
The remains rested at the
MacPherson funeral chapel until
Wednesday, November 20 when
,the funeral was held at 2.30
m. from Knox Church with in-,
terment in Teeswater Cemetery,;
Rev:. T. J. McKinney officiated. ;
Left to mourn her passing are
three daughters, Mts. William
(Marjory) Humphries, Walton,
Mrs. George (Shirley) Carter,
Wingham, and Mrs. Maurice
(Donna) Hetherington, Alliston,
and two sons,, John and Hugh
of Teeswater. One son prede-
ceased her in infancy. Thirty-
one grandchildren and one great-
grandchild also survive,
Pallbearers were Alex .Don-
aldson, John Moffat, Iden Grant,
George Marshall, R. Stewart
MacDonald and Glen McCon-
nell.
Flower bearers were six`
grandsons, Terry and •Murray
Carter, Steven ,MacDonald,
Roger Humphries, David. Mac-
Donald and Michael Hethering-
ton.'

BELGRAVE--The members,
of Beigrave L: 0. L. 462 held
their turkey banquet ;in the :
arena rooms on Saturday even-
ing. with over fifty punt.
For the past number of years
the Lodge' members have pre-
pared the supper and entertain-
ed their wives .and families as
an annual event. 0
Rev. John Roberts, Mrs. Rob-
erts and family there also guests
of the evening.
Following the supper Ernest
Snowden, the Worshipful Master
acted as chairman for a short
program. Musical numbers by,
-Miss Connie Nethery were much
enjoyed, as were mouth organ
selections by•Albert Bieman ac-
companied by Mrs. Bieman.
Rev. Roberts spoke briefly on
the responsibility to any organ-
ization to which one belongs,
not only in the community, but
on a world wide level as well.
Henry Pattison spoke of the
Many encouraging meetings he
has attended as County Master
during the past year.
Euchre party
BLUEVALE-=The Bluevale
Recreational Association held a
euchre party in the community
hall on Thursday evening with
11 tables in play.
Prize winners were: high
scores, tvIrs. William Mundell
and Gordon Sanderson; low
scores, Mrs. Harry Adams and
Wes Underwood; lucky draw,
Mrs. Carl Johnston.
