Tea held for
Mrs: Curzon
The members of St. Bride's
junior altar guild of St. Paul's
Church held' a tea recently in
honor of their le ad e r , Mrs.
Helen urzon, who has moved
to Huntwille.
Mrs., Curzon has been the
leader of the guild since it was
organized last year. She w a s
presented with a pottery bowl as
a farewell gift by the president,
Heather Farnell.
The tea was held at the home
of Mrs. D. H. Farnell and other
guests were Rev. and Mrs. H. W,
Hamilton and Mrs. Alvin Hig'
gins. Mrs. Higgins presented
Mrs. Curzon with a cup and
saucer from the se n i o r altar
guild.

Rainbow Club
The Mary Hastings Rainbow
Club had an attendance of 25
members and four guests at the
September 3 Meeting. A vote
of thanks was extended, to the
ladies who had arranged the
bus trips to the Loddou picnic
and the Canadian National Ex-
hibition in Toronto. ..
The club's quilt received
second prize at the London pic-
nic for area clubs.
Ladies from Clinton, Dash-
wood and Goderich clubs will
be invited to the next meeting,
which will be a pot luck sup-
per.

has spent several weeks in Vic-
toria Hospital, London, was ab-
le to return to her home .on

dian Missions in the spring. He
stated how very pleased and ap-

bale will be sent this fall. Any-

clothing please leave it in the
church vestibule.

Linda Jean Casemore was
married Saturday afternoon to
'Joseph H. Smith of R.R. 4 Brus-
sels at the home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. James Casemore,
R, R, - 4 Wingham. The cere-
monywas performed by Rev.
G. L. Fish of St. Andrew's Pres-
byterian Church.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and. Mrs. Joseph C. Smith of
Goderich.
The lawn was decorated with
baskets of white gladioli and
the ceremony took place under
an arch decorated in blue and
white. The bride's sister Bev-
erley played traditional wed-
ding Music on the organ and
during the signing of the tregis-
ter she played "1 Leo v e You
Truly" "
Mr. Casemore gave his
daughter in marriage. She wore
a lace coat with empire bodice
and flared 'skirt. over a peau de
soie empire waist dress with
A-line skim ---ht carried a
bouquet of white carnations
sprayed blue, with blue ribbon
streamers.
Her sister, Pat Casemore,
was her only attendant, gowned.
in a peacock blue dress of A-
line style with lace insert pleat.
She carried a nosegay of white
slasta mums.
Twin --brother of the groom,
Adam Smith, was best man and
the ushers were the bride ' s
brother, "Ross Casemore and
Steven Thiel of Exeter, nephew
of the groom.
A buffet supper was served,
the table decorated with bou-
quets of blue cornflowers. Baby
zinnias were on the, organ.
Mrs. Casemore wore a char-
coal boucle suit with yellow ac-
cessories. Her corsage was yel-
low mums. The groom's moth-
er wore a beige dress and coat,
pink accessories and a pink car-
nation corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who
will ,live at 157 Boland St.,
Wingham, left on a wedding
trip. to Northern Ontario. For
travelling the bride wore a
green plaid woollen cape with
beige skirt and tam which she
made herself. Her corsage was
yellow mums.
The bride is•employed at the

Canadian Imperial Bank of
Comnerce in Wingham and the
groom is on the staff at Wing -
ham, and District Hospital.

SEWING SISTERS
BELGRA VE --The second
meeting was held last Tuesday
evening in the basement of the
Belgravee United Church. Judy

decided that the name for the
club would be "Sewing Sisters.
The leaders divided the mem-
bers into groups of two and the
patterns were pinned on, their
material. • "
The third meeting on Mon-
day opened with the pledge and

call.' Margaret Robertson read
the minutes.. The next meeting
