Mrs. earl Weter returned home
On Thursday from S. Joseph's •
spital, London.
The community extends sym-
pathy to the family and relatives
of Mr. Arthur Moore who passed
away last Thursday in Wingh'ar
and District Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tiffin and
Mr. and Mrs. Charles T i f f i n
were in London on Thursday
were Charles -received Treatment
at St. Joseph's Hospital..
Mr. Bar Hobbs of Thompson,
'Man., visited for a few weeks
with Mrs. Torn Inglis and fam-
ily and Lon Friday visited' with
Mr. and Mrs. Vjctor Emerson.
He and Victor went to school. at
S.S. 14, West Wawanosh, Mr.
Hobbs came to the Inglis horse
when a years of age and left
when he was 23. He is a cook
in thecamp at Thompson.

ville is visiting for a few weeks
with Mrs. Cecil Falconer.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson
and Miss Blanche Alexander vis-
ited on Sunday with her friends, •

Donna of Paisley.
Donald Gaunt of Toronto re-
turned on the week -end from
his holidays which included a
trip to Man and His World a t
Montreal, as well as a tour of
Quebec and the Maritime Prov-.
inces. He spent the week -end
with his parents, ,Mr. and Mrs.
Russel Gaunt.
Visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Dan Tiffin on Sunday
were Mr. and Mrs. Orville Tif-
fin and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mc-
Innes of Gorrie. •
George Conn who has been
teaching a summer schoolcourse
at port Arthur returned home on
Friday and on Tuesday will
leave for Medicine Hat, where
he has been hired to teach for
the corning year. He will be
accompanied by his parents , • •
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace C o n n
who hope to visit at Vancouver
before returning.
Mr. and Mrs, George Walker
attended a friend's wedding .at
the Pine River Church on Satur-
day and also visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Searle, Kin-
cardine.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw
and Janet and Mr. Herb Laid- .
law spent the week -end in their
trailer at Port Albert.
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. Peter Verbeek on the ar-
rival in Wingham Hospital last
Monday of a baby boy, a broth-
er for Donna Marie.
Whitechurch Women's In-
stitute will celebrate its 40'tii
anniversary at the next meeting.
