We are sorry to report that
Mrs. Harry Tichborne of Goder-
ich, the former 'Agnes Kennedy,
is a patient in St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London, •where she under
went surgery early last week.
She is °on 6th floor, room 647.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Soloman,
Cathy, Brenda, Bradley. Scott,
and Ronnie were Sunday visitors
with her mother, Mrs. Clayton
of • Grand Valley.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Maulden
and Keith of Kinlough were.
Sunday visitors with Mr, and.
Mrs. Sill Evans.
Mt. and Nils. Kadlec and
Jana of Toronto spent the week-
end at their summer home on
the Con. 2, Kinloss.
Miss Phyllis Sleightholm last
'week underwent an appendec-
tomy in Wingham and District
Hospital. We wish her a speedy
recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hender-
son and Laurie Ann of London
are this week holidaying at the
home of her ,parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Kloss Koyle of Langside.
Other visitors with Mr. and Mrs
Koyle are Mr. and Mrs. Garry.

Mrs, Hilda Cox and her brother,
Con Wyatt, both of London.

their mother during the week-
end, a ptient at Wingham and
District Hospital.

Robins, Georgia, and. Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Porteous called at the
horse of Mr,. and Mrs. Fred
Tiffin and Mr, and Mrs. Victor
Emerson this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Ander-
son and her mother of Auburn
called on Sunday at the home
of Mr, and Mrs. Bill Evans.
- Miss Judy Jamieson is visit-
ing this week with her friend,
Miss Heather Hand of Palmer-
ston.
Mrs, James McInnes accom-
panied Mr. and Mrsl. Kenneth
Hopf of London to their home
on Sunday. She will visit there
this week.
On Saturday Russel Chapman,
Elwood Groskorth, Russel Ritch-
ie, Fred Tiffin, Tom Morrison.
Wesley Tiffin, and Victor Emer-
son gathered at the pump house
which supplies the water for the
village. The reservoir. was
drained and scrubbed clean with
brushes. Some looked after
scything the grass and weeds.
Mrs. Gordon Chapman and
daughter Nora of California
visited last week with Mr. and
Mrs. Russel Chapman and Gary
and Mrs. Mary Chapman Sr,
Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell El-
liott of Ailsa Craig were Thurs-
day visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Elliott.
Mr, and Mrs. Russel Chap-
man went to Saskatchewan by.
plane on Sunday. They. picked
up the school bus there and will
proceed to Vancouver. Mr.
.and Mrs. Ross Smith and fam-
ily, who drove the bus west,
returned to Toronto' by plane.
A QUIET GROUP of boys practise their relay teams before
the big event last Wednesday.. They were not .as quiet
when the actual action began later in the afternoon,
