A Canadian -trade movie
could make its mark on the en-
tire world of filmmaking,
Waiting„ for "Caroline", a joint
production of the CBC and the
National Film Board'in Canada,
has been purchased by United
Artists, one of Hollywood's top
movie theatres. 'Caroline' was
made early in 1967 and was
first seen. on " Festival" last
. November, It starred Alexan-
dra Stewart in the title role --
Miss Stewart being originally, '
from Montreal, now doing film
work and modelling in Paris.
Her male co-stars in 'Caroline'
were Francois Tasse, a young
French-Canadian actor, and
Robert Howay, The film was,
directed by Ron Kelly and film-
ed in Montreal film studios and
on location in Vancouver and
Quebec City. It was a sensitive
film, well .portrayed by.: talent-
ed people. Let's hope. Canada . .
can - at last make an impression
on. world entertainment with
" Waiting for Caroline".
