Committee reports heard at U.C.W. meeting The members of the Christ- ian Education Committee were guests of the United Church Women at a pot luck supper on Tuesday evening in the Sunday School room. President, Mrs, Jack Gorrie welcomed everyone and the theme of the worship service was "Christian Education Night", with Mrs. A. Gibson and Mrs, Elwood Irwin from Unit 4 in charge of the devotional period. Donald Rintoul and George Jardine sang a duet. George also sang two other numbers accompanied by guitar. They wore floor -length gowns of petal pink Chantilly lace with short sleeves and Elizabethan collars.. The scalloped edge of late garnished with tiny buttons gave .a coat -like effect. The groom's mother wore a party pink lace dress with a hat to match and bone accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Langridge will live in Wingham. 4-H entertains at W1 meeting BELGRAVE--Mrs. Cliff Pur - don was convener for the home economics meeting of the Wo- men's Institute held in the com- munity rooms on Tuesday even- ing of last week, with a large attendance. Mrs. Ivan Wightman presid- ed. Institute \members will cater to Grade VIII graduation banquet in the school on June 27. A memorial service will be held in Brandon Cemetery on July 7th at 3 p.m. with Knox United Church in charge of ar- rangements.
