was held last Wednesday at the
home of the president,* Roy B -en.
nett. The members discussed
the possibility of the Wingham
club's participation in the form-
ation of an enlarged Inter -club
Figure Skating Group. Such a
group now includes clubs in
Stratford, St, Marys, Seaforth,
Goderich, Mitchell and Clinton
These clubs 'co-operate in pla-
ning the year's events such as
carnivals and testing programs.
'Members expressed interest in..
such a group but no further ac-
tion can be taken at present.
Informationwas presented by
the corresponding -secretary,
Mrs. S. Orien, regarding Figure
Skating Association meetings,
discussion week -ends, and
summer schools for skaters. '

The report of the fest chair-
man, Mrs. J. Strong, revealed
that the three skaters who tried
tests at Stratford passed all they
tried; These were Marilyn Ir-
win, Kim Mellor, and Kathleer
Jay. Olive -Lapp passed her
figures' test at St. Marys. M'
Teeswater, 16 tests were tried
with only one failure.

Fordwich bowling league
holds its annual banquet
FORDWICHr -The Fordwich
Bowling League held its annual
banquet on Saturday night in
the Sunday. School rooms of
Trinity Anglican Church with
St. Anne's Guild serving the
dinner.
The president, Doug,Bunker,
presided for the presentations
of trophies and the business
meeting.
High team for the year was
"Jack's Bowlers" „ Mrs. Doug
Bunker, Mrs. Earl King, Mrs.
William Mulvey, Dave Dicker%
Jack Bennett and Gary Sothern.
High single for ladies was
won by Mrs. Lyle Foerter who
also won the high score over all
leagues at the Fordwich Bowling
Lanes. Ladles'high average
went to Mrs.Jack Bennett and
the ladies' high triple to Mrs.
Bob Bridge.
Men's high single winner
was Jack "Sennett; men's high
triple, Jim Stewart. Morley •
Johnson was the most improved
bowler.
The "Expo Six" was the
highest team in playoffs, Mrs.
Motley Johnson, Mrs. Lorne
lambkin, Mrs. Jim Stewart,
Blake Gibson, Bob Bridge and
Doug Bunker.
The Fordwich Bowling Lea -P
gue also won the Bob Douglas
Trophy, defeating Wroxeter
and Gorrie Leagues.
Officers elected for 1968-69
season were; President. Alex
'Reid; 1st vice-president, Lyle
Foerter; secretary, Mrs: Blake
Gibson.
A vote of thanks was extend-
ed to Mrs. Mel Allan who was
secretary this year and to the
president, Doug Bunker and Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Marriner.
I Alex Reid moved a vote of
thanks to the ladies for the
lovely dinner, bringing the
evening to a close.

supper. to which the mothers of
the members were cordially In-
vited.
After the buffet meal every-
one took part in contests and
Brenda Townsend played the
accOrdion for us.
Plans were completed for
Achievement Day, May 11 and
also the Institute meeting in.

. The Wingham Sportsmen
Association last 'Sunday Sponsor-
ed a fish derby for the pupils'of
the Golden Circle School. Doug
Cerson get things underway at
approximately 2:30, and shortlcafter Allan Hamilton pulled
out the first fish of the after -
Some of the fish stocked by
the club had part of the front
fin cut off for identification,
and the entrants were awarded
a dollar for each One of these
caught. Allan Hamilton re-
ceived three dollars,— for the
first fish ealught, the first mark-
ed fish, and ode dollar for the
marked fish. .
Brian Houston received one
dollar each for catching his
second and'third fisNfirst, as
well as catching a marked fish
for a total 'of three dollars,
Alvy Morningstar got a dol. -
lar for the biggest' fish caught,
