.came to life and pulled ahead
to stay. •'

TERRIBLE HOCKEY
Although Wingham led 1-0
at the end of the first, it was
far from' deserved as they play-
ed poorly and,Clinton actually
• had the edge in play. Captain
Macigrinan was, sitting on the
door'Op' at 4;25 to bang in Ma -
hood's rebound.
• With Mowbray in the penalty
box, Clintonrtied the score at -
40 seconds of the widdle frame
on a gbai by Sterling, one of
the most talented players on the
ice. The goal came on a slap -
shot from just inside the blue -
line.
Sloppy defensive clearing
gave Clinton t 2-1 lead as Burns
scored from Irwin at 6;40 on a
goalmouth pass to the uncover-
ed roan in front.
Behind for the first time in
the series, the goal seemed to
jolt the Winghamteain and
they started shOwing signs of a
hockey club instead of old la-
dies at a tea party.
Don Dubeau got the team
back on course with a beautiful
backhand goal at 15;08 on an
unassisted rush. Before the per-
iod ended a high,,, hard long
shot by Joe Kerr put Wingham
ahead 3-2, Corrigan assisting.
PULL. UP SOCKS

of the 'third with MacLennan
assisting to Make it'4-2. Mac-

ing the puck and passing to
Burns in front.

pressure off as he tipped A shot
from the faceoff and nipped the
corner. MacLennan assisting.

...as Kennedy dug.the puck out
