The girls seem to be in a slump for the second week as there are very few scores over a 225, Shirley' Storey 249, Con- nie Hickey 235, Marilyn Rit- chie_230 and 236,,Elva Watke 231, Louise Welwood 226. Betty Foxton didn't hit the. 225 mark but had two nice - games of 20,2 `and 215. - High single went to Gwen MacLaurin with -313 and. Shirley Storey had the high triple a 684. . TOWN LEAGUE The Rangers borrowed some of'the momentum from their N.H.L. counterparts and pick- ed up a big seven points to close the gap•wi'th the.Cana- diens only 5 points behind. There is time left for almost any of the teams to overtake them. The Black Hawks- and Canadien's split 4 to 3 as did the Maple Leafs and Red .Wings. The Bruins took•another pound- ing as they were blanked. They sure have had problems since the new year. Hap Swatridge started off with a 333 for high single while Bobby Crawford was fashioning the high triple of 787 including a ,309,(both on the Ranger roster). Linda Watson and Terry Bridge duplicated the table setting. AMATEUR HOSTESSES The second meeting of the Wingham 4-H homemaking club was held Monday from 8 to 10 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Hutton, with an attendance of six. girls. The minutes were read by Darlene Brooks. The leaders were Mrs. Stan Hopper and Mrs, George Hop- per. BELMORE CLUB The first meeting of the Rel - more 4-H Club was held on Monday evening of last week at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Dickson, with 13 girls present. The name of the project is "The Club Girl Entertains" leaders are Mrs. Dickson and Mrs. George Kieffer. The group discussed floral arrangements, each girl dis- playing her own arrangement. Election of officers took place as follows: President, Karen Kieffer; vice-president.
