The Tuesday -Tyke 1,eague
action saw the Cougars defeat
the Bears by a score of 5-4.
It was'a very hard fought, close -
checking battle throughout.
Brian Reid and Keith Cameron
in goal for the Cougars and
Bears respectively, turned in
fine performances considering
it was the first time in net for
either of them, David Bennett
did an excellent job for the
Bears, accounting for all 4
goals, but this -fine effort could
not surpass the five goal per-
-,formance of Kevin Hickey for
the Cougars.
Saturday afternoon the local
Tyke All-Star team travelled
to Belgrave when they were
defeated 5-1. Our boys played
the best game yet but were
simply outclassed by the Bel -
grave boys. Gordon Kinahan
was the only one who could
find the mark for our boys.
Kevin Hickey,-Wingham`s' • ...
goalie, is looking more profes-,
•siorial every time I' watch him.
He was called upon many times
to pull off spectacular saves to
keep our team in the game.,-
Well, we .post this one but ., .
we will be out to win our next
one.
