The object of theit. visit was to beat the Wingham girls but we fooled them. We beat them. The junior girls played an excellent game.. The many hours of practise could be -seen in their passes and shots on bas- ket. The final sc6li -was 15-9 for Wingham with Marion. Wil- lie being high scorer with 9 points. • *The senior gills obeyed their coach for once and got 10 points in the' first one and one-half minutes of play. They kept , this lead right to the'end. The final scare was 22-14 for Wing - ham with Bonnie Willie being high senior scorer with 12 points. Both, teams have won three . out of sevetvgames.. Senior boys' -basketball BY KEN SKINN The senior boys basketball team travelled to Stratford Northwestern on Thursday. The boys played a steady first half with the score 35-31 in favour of Stratford: The second half was a different story as Strat- ford increased its lead. The • final score was 63-51. Our boys have not given up for they are looking towards the next. game with hopes of victory. 0 • a Junior boys basketball • - BY GEORGE LLANCE After a relatively slow and sloppy first half the juniors managed to rant/ and stage a fine exhibition of teanfwork to defeat Stratford. Teamwork on the junior team is' how fast.they can get the ball to Bill Skinn. After playing a loose zone in the first half and losing many points because of it, they tight- ened up in the second half and checked tenaciously to hold down the taller Stratford club. If they continue to play as they did in the last half of this game they will go all the way this year., The junior boys kire Wing- ham's'best chance for a basket- ball championship•this season so let them know you support them.
