Annual meeting
at United Church
BLUEYALE--Last Tuesday
evening the annual meeting of
Bluevale United Church was
held.: Rev. W. f.1. Mather of
Blyth. conducted, the meeting,
and began with devotions.
Reports' of all the organiza-
tions of the church were given
.and showed a successful year.
Financially. the current ac-
count had a good balance and
M. and M. contributions . were
$935. The URC. W. reported
a. balance of 5729. after don-
ating $525 to Presbyterial.
The Sunday School,. the Mes-
sengers and the choir all re-
ported a° surplus.
. Wendell Stamper and George
Fischer were .appointed to the
sessionfor a five-year term.
Jack W ickste ad, Wildon Robert-
son. George Fischer and Robert
Fraser were re -,elected to the
Board of Stewards. Lloyd
Wheeler was elected to the
• Missionary and Maintenance

gathered Wednesday night at
the Lakelet W.I. hall to honor
Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Greenley
(Marlene Wylie).
The early part of the even-
ing was spent playing cards.
Winners for euchre were Mr.
and Mrs. Ernie Dinsmore and
for solo, Jack Wright,
Barney and Marlene were
called to the platform. Mrs.
Walter Demerling read a short
address and the young couple
was, presented with a bridge set
of a table and four chairs, a
floor polisher and a mat by Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Wright and Mr.
and Mrs. Ken Dettman. Barney
and Marlene thanked everyone
and invited their friends to visit
' ahem. Lunch was served.

Unitarian Church, Toronto.
Tke bride who was given
away: by her father, wore a
gown of white delustered satin
and organza with re -embroi-
dered daisies forming a design
on the bodice and the train
which fell from the shoulders
of the gown. Her veil. of tulle
illusion was held by a crown of
seed pearls. She carried a
loose bouquet of red roses,
carnations and stephanotis.

and was gowned in peaceck
blue brocaded lame andl a
,matching blue velvet ribbon
hair -piece. The four brides-
maids were gowned alike in

The groom was attended

en both of Toronto, John Barton
of Oakville, and Robert Nier-

of the ,bride. A reception was
held at the Holiday Inn follow-
ing the wedding ceremony.
