morning that as yet, no „'word has
been received regarding the
deportation Of Robert Stewart
Smith of R.R.'4, Brussels, ars,
rested Monday in Nashville,
Tennessee in connection With
rhe January 3 armed robbery of
the Brucefield branch of the
Bank of Montreal.
He refused to .comment. on
his statement to `the nese; med-
ia regarding the recovery of '
$2, 400 in the town of Wing -
ham.
Smith was picked up in "
Nashville through the co-opera-
tiQn• of the Ontario Provincial
Police, and the Buffalo and,
Memphis police departments.
Det.. -Sgt. Herries did state
that - the car Smith had in his
possession when- apprehended,
had been recovered.
