is one of the few area arenas which has not yet changed over to
the single spot outside the Nuelines. New rules stipulate that
only one spot, at the centre of the ice surface., rather than two,
ohe at each wing, is now used for offside. calls.... Elwood Ir-
win still leads the intermediates with 10 goals in 11 games while
linemate Ross Peacock leads in assists with .10. The dubious
'honours:of most penalized player On the team goes to Ross
"/P1,11boa: Forrester with 3$ minutes.... So far, including Thurs-
day's disaster in Clinton. the "100' Sports"' have scorell 66 tim,s 44,
and been scored against 80 times, resulting in. a 4 win, :7, loss

we heard several of the players

the referee the raspberry. Now,

bums, but that particular ref-
eree happened,to be George
/Thomas and we think George
/knows his hockey. •

• ed.high school hockey with
Patterson birdin Windsor and
must hae' been -good material
as he soon joined theline-up
with the Windsor _Spitfires in
the Junior '' A" loop:.

George spent three years ref-
ereeing minor hockey while
teaching school in Windsor.
As Well as hockey, he has done
• some officiating in football.

/Thomas and we think George

as he soon joined theline-up
with the Windsor _Spitfires in
