I had stated that Claire Wall was going to be in Clinton on January 5th, which is not correct. Mr. Wall will be in the area in February and will come to Clinton if there have been some appointments made to see him. Everything does seem to go rather flat after all the parties and celebrating over the Christmas season, and this Pub Nite is timed just right to ease the letdown. Our usual good turnout is expected, so come on down and join the fun. Don't forget to keep signing those guests in during the New Year. Christmas may be over, but that doesn't mean we. can relax our vigil and take the chance on losing our licence so --- "Sign 'em in.” Things should be getting back to normal next week as far as darts, bingo and euchre are concerned, but watch this column or any changes tha might occur. The other thing to watch is your television set this Thursday morning for the big parade. With any luck, we'll get a look at o u r boys as they trot alc ng''the sunny streets of California. We can all feel a little sorry for them as they get all sweated up in that. terrible heat, while we're all snuggledup in our cosy blanket of snow. Mrs. Isabel Scott gave the meditation during which several carols were sung with Mrs. Pearl McBeath at the piano. 'The treasurer Mrs. Jean Henderson gaveher report and Mrs. Reta Baird the card report. The next meeting will be the last Wednesday in January 1981.
