It is a season filled with love and warmth and hap - pines s. Christmas is music. The whole world seems to sing of frosty snowmen, Santa's elves and peace on earth. Christmas is shoppers hustling and bustling from,. store to store, finding the right gift for ON CHRISTMAS DAY all bells on earth will ring sounding a message of love and joy to people everywhere. Our sincere gratitude. C YAL 1V A 2 I Z) FARM SUPPLY CENTRE What Christmas means to me. This composition is about Christmas. What it means to us. What effect it has on us. Why do we celebrate it. What emotion it has on us. Why do we have a big Christmas dinner. Why do we give gifts. Why do we attend midnight mass on Christmas eve. Christmas to me is the day we should all be happy because we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The joy of gathering together with all the family for a Christmas dinner. The happiness of seeing all the houses decorated with lights. The thrill of seeing gifts passing around. The excitment of getting up and opening all the gifts. The idea of going to the midnight mass with your family to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The look in some, people's eyes when they hear the beautiful Christmas ,;viols. The thought of making decorations for the house. The cry of Jesus Christ when he was born. Christmas to me is the day that no one should forget. This was about Christmas, How we like it. What we think of it. What it shows us. What is does to us and what it gives us. -by Ivan Barrette, St. Joesph's Separate School. Christmas is gaily colored lights decorating department ,stores and lighting up the coun- tryside with special messages for all to see. Christmas is greeting cards filled • with messgaes of love and happiness to friends old and new. ' Christmas is tinsled hung trees with presents underneath waiting to be opened on ;;Christmas morning. Christmas is yummy, smelling cookies and cakes, mouth watering specialties we eat only once a year. Christmas is all these things and much more, But most of all, Christ- mas is the celebration on the birth of Christ many, many years ago. The true meaning of Christmas is the crib with the baby . Jesus offering hope to a world town by hunger and sickness and war. In the Christmas crib the baby r Jesus' out- stretched arms remind people that we all need love and understanding, that we all need someone to share our lives with. Church bells ring out and people listen. It is that special time of year when we forget our dif- ferences and our at- titudes change toward mankind. Christmas is a special feeling of being loved and wanting to share love with all God's people. Happy Birthday Baby Jesus. =by Debbie Leigh, St. Joseph's Separate School.
