It's a special time of year
Christmas is a special
time of the year. It is a
season filled with love
and warmth and hap -
pines s.
Christmas is music.
The whole world seems to
sing of frosty snowmen,
Santa's elves and peace
on earth.
Chric+ry a is C'ntn
Claus in the department
store, laughing merrily
as he listens to each
child's request, or win-
ding slowly up the parade
route in his reindeer
pulled sleigh.
Christmas is shoppers
hustling and bustling
from,. store to store,
finding the right gift for
ON CHRISTMAS DAY
all bells on earth will
ring sounding a message
of love and joy to people
everywhere.
Our sincere gratitude.

What Christmas means
to me. This composition
is about Christmas. What
it means to us. What
effect it has on us. Why do
we celebrate it. What
emotion it has on us. Why
do we have a big
Christmas dinner. Why
do we give gifts. Why do
we attend midnight mass
on Christmas eve.
Christmas to me is the
day we should all be
happy because we are
celebrating the birth of
Jesus Christ. The joy of
gathering together with
all the family for a
Christmas dinner. The
happiness of seeing all
the houses decorated with
lights. The thrill of seeing
gifts passing around. The
excitment of getting up
and opening all the gifts.
The idea of going to the
midnight mass with your
family to celebrate the
birth of Jesus Christ. The
look in some, people's
eyes when they hear the
beautiful Christmas
,;viols. The thought of
making decorations for
the house. The cry of
Jesus Christ when he was
born. Christmas to me is
the day that no one should
forget.
This was about
Christmas, How we like
it. What we think of it.
What it shows us. What is
does to us and what it
gives us.

Joesph's Separate

Christmas is the star placed upon the tree,
Christmas is the ornaments that everyonecan see.
Christmas is a sheet of snow sparkling in the night,
Christmas is the Christmas lights shining oh so bright.
Christmas is a big green wreath hung upon the door,
Christmas is the wrapping paper thrown upon the
floor.
Christmas is Santa Claus making not a peep,
Christmas is Christmas Eve trying to go to sleep.
-by Greg Dinning, Grade 4, CPS.
that very special person
on your Christmas list.
Christmas is gaily
colored lights decorating
department ,stores and
lighting up the coun-
tryside with special
messages for all to see.
Christmas is greeting
cards filled • with
messgaes of love and
happiness to friends old
and new. '
Christmas is tinsled
hung trees with presents
underneath waiting to be
opened on ;;Christmas
morning.
Christmas is yummy,
smelling cookies and
cakes, mouth watering
specialties we eat only
once a year.
Christmas is all these
things and much more,
But most of all, Christ-
mas is the celebration on
the birth of Christ many,
many years ago.
The true meaning of
Christmas is the crib with
the baby . Jesus offering
hope to a world town by
hunger and sickness and
war.
In the Christmas crib
the baby r Jesus' out-
stretched arms remind
people that we all need
love and understanding,
that we all need someone
to share our lives with.
Church bells ring out
and people listen. It is
that special time of year
when we forget our dif-
ferences and our at-
titudes change toward
mankind. Christmas is a
special feeling of being
loved and wanting to
share love with all God's
people.
Happy Birthday Baby
Jesus.

Once upon a time there lived a natean elf,
Who was extremely bad on December the 12th.
That day ,Santa was full of joy,
Until he tQUnd out that Fred had stolen a toy.'
Hew he found out is easy to tell,
It w. s from his thruthful elf called Tinker Bell.
She came to Santa with very bad news,
That'red had stolen a toy and it was under Comet's
hooves.
Santa was so shocked at mean ole',Fred,
That his head hurt badly so he just.wentto bed.
Re woke up just about two hours later,
And saw at his door his cute Little waitor.
He said to him, "Did you have a good sleep?"
And Santa replied, "I didn't hear a peep.''
Then he asked what he was there for,
And he said it was time for dinner.
They went to dinner just right then,
And they were the last there of the men.
Theyhad supper in a jolly way,
But only Santa didn't have a thing to say.
He was thinking, what he would do,
When he would give Fred a talking to,
When he knew what he would say to the elf,
He got up and excused himself.
—He went -right away to see -o -le -Fre ,
And this is what he said.
"I heard about the toy you took today,
And stealing isn't anything like play,
You did something noelf has ever done yet,
And I hope you'll return the toy before you get-"
Expelled from the elves of Ole' St, Nick,
And also being sent awat with a great big kick.
"I'll let you off this time because I think you'd learned
your lesson,
And all I want now is aDtice little confession."
"I'rn sorry Santa Clas, " said ole' Fred,
"To steal I must have been out of my mind."

moments
Christmas at our house
is very nice. We get all
sorts of things from
Dinky Cars to tall, toy
elephants. The first thing
we do is hang out
stockings, climb into bed
and dream of all the
wonderful cards and
presents we'll by getting,
It's a delight riding down
the hill on your new
toboggan. Or maybe you
wouid prefer a Crazy
Carpet. Whatever • you
want you'll probably get
from old Saint Nick who
brings a merry Christ-
mas to everyone,
everywhere. After those
joyful moments Are have
a great Christmas feast
and that is what happens
at out house on Christ-
mas.
