Christmas is coming up and I would like to express
what it means to me. Christmas is when I remember
the coming o our o r • . is a so a ime or given : : s
well as getting gifts. Christmas is a time for the whole
family tozet together and have a joyous dinner, Itis a
time when I and many other people stuff myself with
the freshly cooked food that my mom cooks which of
coars if rich and savory. The thing most people in -
eluding "me" like most of all is the happy moments of
opening all the presents you and I receive!
Christmas in my words is celebrating Jesus's bir-
thday. Christmas is a good time to meet new friends in
stores, or even old friends I haven't seen for a little
while. Itis a time for me to remeet my cousins, aunts,
uncles, and grandparents. Christmas is trying out the
new games. It is a time to go out and play in the
freshly fallen snow and going tobogganing on the hills.
Christmas is a time to go to midnight mass which is
quite long. Christmas is going to bed early and getting
up early to raid my stocking. The Christmas season in
a joyous time of sharing. There you have it folks my
essay of Christmas.

My vision of Christmas
To me, Christmas
means joy and happiness
throughout the world. A
The Riddell family extends to you our
warmest Christmas greetings. May the true
meaning and the spirit- of Christmas be with -
you throughout the New Year.
"Happy Birthday"
Christmas is an exciting time of
the year for everyone and as the
days pass the excitment mounts.
We have the fun of buying gifts and
secretly wrapping them before
someone peeks. Then we go and
choose a special tree, after
decorating it, in all the beautiful
ornaments and place the glowing
silver star on top. We then take out
wrapped gifts and place them
under our tree.
When Christmas day does arrive
we all_get up early after a restless
night, we all go down and see the
beautiful sight that St. Nick has
left. We all impatiently wait for our
turn to open a present. After w_e're
all done opening our gifts we try
them out and have lots -of fun.
Then as evening comes quickly
and we can smell the beautiful
aroma coming from the kitchen.
All the way from the hot mashed
potatoes to the tender turkey. It
made our mouthes water. As we
sat down for supper we say a
special prayer In honour of Jesus
Christ. After the delicious supper
and we clean and put all the good
silverware and good dishes away,
ready for the next special occasion,
time of peace, a time of
giving and receiving gifts
and saying prayers. A
time when you put all of
your troubles and har-
dships behind. A time to
love not only your friends
but your enemies too.
There are a lot of
'peoplewho like to put out
a Nativity scene and
remember what hap-
pened one night in
Bethlehem. It is fun going
to Midnight Mass.
Singing Christmas
carols. But to me
Christmas is seeing in our
hearts in a stale, Joseph,
Mary, the three kings, the
animals and little baby
Jesus. Christmas is good
food, good people and
godd solid togetherness.
A time when all kinds of
religions are happy, even
if they don't give
presents, can still' be
happy. People of any race
can be together (black
and white).
For younger children
Christmas is Santa Claus
and toys and flying
reindeer, :which is fine to
a certain age: To
teenagers and to adults it
is turkeys, prayers and
lights and Christmas
cards. I have expressed -
my thoughts in this essay.
But the nicest is that very
first \ Christmas with
Baby Jesus in the cradle.
Merry Christmas.
