BEAVERS
NEWS...by Mary Freeman
Beavers: Colony A; Hawkeye performed the
opening ceremony and so =began our program
revolving around Christmas. In the first Christmas
game the Beavers formed relay teams to draw
Santa Claus. While Tic Tac led the Beavers in carol
singing, Rusty, Bubbles, and Hawkeye prepared for
the Nativity play. Greg Crawford and Andrew
Walker also joined the leaders playing the parts of
the Wisemen. The play ended with the singing of the
carol, Away in the Manger. The Beavers then
formed a circle to .unwrap' a Christmas parcel
which Keith Ryan found to contain chocolate chip
cookies to share with the rest of the colofly. Rusty
'then instructed the Beavers in hand crafting
Christmas wreaths from macaroni and ribbons.
Beavers: Colony B: Rusty from Colony A visited
the colony and joined the leaders Rainbow,
Sugarcube, Hawkeye, and Ra s Nativity play.
Following car'oi-singing the Beavers divided into
lodges to make wreaths from Christmas cards. The
meeting came. to a close with sing -song games of
Father Abraham, Swimming pool, and Crocodile.
December 19 the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will
join their sister group to go a -caroling. We welcome
the public to join us in this night of singing, The
Beavers will meet at the Wesley Willis church at 7
p.m. and can be picked up at the Fire Hall at -ap-
proximately 8 30. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF
PICK UP PLACE. If you have not handed in your
permission slips please do so that night.
