With 8:55 remaining in the period, Goderich goalie Doug Fisher was injured in a collision outside the crease and was replaced by Percy Bedard. Bruce Bowman narrowed the margin to 2-1, scoring on a powerplay late in the middle period. The final period belonged to the Bucks as Randy McKinnon took a pass from John Graham to open the gates. Pat Bedard then completed a three way passing play from Graham and Schilbe for a powerplay goal. Graham took a pass from Schilbe and blasted a slapshot that hand- cuffed the goaltender. On an end to end rush, Dino Desjardine took passes from Randy McKinnon and Graham to make the score 5-1. Schilbe then took,a pass from Gerald Weido, split rattled a breakaway shot off the post and ' the Sherwoods skated back up ice and scored. In the final period, Randy McKinnon scored from Desjardines and Kerry Bedard on a three way play, and Kerry Bedard rounded out the scoring with a shor- thanded tally after taking a pass !rom Randy McKinnon and deking the goaltender. Zurich drew 11 minor penalties toHensall's 6. In the final game of the weekend on Sunday, Zurich captured the championship by blasting the Mitchell Red Devils 7- 3. Paul McClure opened the scoring in the game for /Mitchell, but John Graham took control of the puck in the Mitchell zone and fed a pass to Richard Schilbe who fired it past Red Devil goaltender Lou Arts from the slot area to tie the game. Richard Schilbe made it his third straight two goal games when he scored unassisted on a breakaway pl y. Mitchell's Pete Van Nynatten opened the third period scoring, but that was it for the Red Devils. Kim McKinnon connected on a slapshot from well out with Marvin 'Millimetre' Merner and Pat Bedard assisting on the play. Pat Bedard scored from Weido as the . Bucks forced play in the Mit- chell end. The final goal of the game was Kiln McKinnon's third of the contest as he completed a picture passing play from Kerry Bedard and Gerald, Weido. Danielle graduated with a 95 per cent average. She is now at the Canadian Forces Base in Moose Jaw for On Job Training (OJT) until June 10 when she will report to CFB Borden for her Aero Engine Technician's course. Danielle is the daughter of Capt. and Mrs. R.A. Simons of Shangri-la. Bayfield. Oldtirners bounce back It was not one of the more epic games in the battle for the Loogan's Cup, but the Oldtimers bounced back to tie the Rink Mice at 8-8 in Saturday night's action packed game. Nine screaming fans were on hand to watch Stormin' Norman score six goals and Romping Rhea add two goals for the Mice who built up an 8-0 lead. The Oldtimers, Ied by Voluptuous Val (with seven goals) came back to within one goal. With only seconds left to play Larouche picked up 'the puck in his own end and skated the length of the ice drilling a blistering drive past Tiny Tim to tie the game for the Old- timers. The Oldtimers still need some players of mediocre or poor quality as they had to play the 'entire game a man short. Previous knowledge of how to play hockey is not necessary.
