Enterprising Seniors rnet
in the Holmesville churei
for their last meeting o#'
the year. Mrs. Jean, Lobb.
chaired the meeting and
she led in prayer and a
moment of silence for the
late Barry Cudmore.
Charlotte Normaxi spoke
on the donation given by
the group in memory of
Mr. Cudmore.
In other business, the
group were. • reminded
that Richard Hewitt, the
director of New Horizons
in this area, was
scheduled. to hold :a
workshop in the Clinton
town hall on November
members, the president,
first and second vice
president, secretary,
treasurer and trustees
were invited to attend the
afternoon session.
Mrs. Norman acted'as
secretary and a motion
was made, naming Hilda
Semple and Mary
Sterling to be `in charge of
prizes for the Christmas
party on December 4.
John Semple adjourned
the meeting and lunch
was served by the ladies.
On December 4, the
seniors will hold a pot
luck luncheon to be
served at 12:30 noon, with
all seniors in the com-
munity welcome. The
luncheon will be held in
the new township hall and
don't forget to bring your
favorite food, cutlery and
dishes. A short meeting
and eriferta'i"nmen�
program will follow the
meal.

A reception was held on
Saturday evening in the
new township hall for
George and Carol
Thompson. A very good
crowd turned out to give
the happy couple their
good wishes. Everyone
danced to the music of
Jim Medd and a delicious
lunch was served by the
Thompson family.
Alvin and Barb Betties
visited on Sunday with
Mrs. Lizzie ..Robertson of
Kincardine.
Peggy Anne, Murray
and Mark McLeod of
Bracebridge visi±od with
Alvin and Barb B'.ttics on
the weekend.
The Goderich Township
Recreation Christmas
Dance will be held on
Friday, December 12 in
the township hat. Betty
Beer and her group Spirit
will provide the music.
The next class in the
crewel course will he held
in the township hall on
December 1 at 1 :30 pm.
The Goderich Township
WI .will he holding a card
party tonight, November
27 in the school.
Admission is f and
ladies are asked to bring
lunch.
Please note that the
December meeting of the
Goderich Towhsnip WI
will be -cancelled because
'of the December 8
election for council
members in the township.
Worship ser- ice was
held in the Holmesville
United Church on Sunday
morning and the flowers
in the church vzertnplaced
in memory of the late
Harry Cudmore. Rev.
John Oestreicher spoke to
the children about love
and to the congregation
his sermon was entitled,
"It's Only A Game_"
