Nurses reach accord
EXETER - South Huron
Hospital nurses are now
guaranteed one weekend
off in every three
weekends.
This agreement bet-
ween the local members
of the Ontario Nurses
Association (ONA) and
the South Huron hospital
board. was reached last
mont `-o'netary
issues were not involved
in the new contract as
they are being negotiated
on a provincial level
through a central com-
mittee representing the
majority of boards in
Ontario and the O1VA.

Exeter hospital board has
been "involved in the
central negotiations and
the hospital is one of the
first to reach agreement
with the local members of
the ONA.

accumulate holiday time
and it was, decided that
this would be possible for
up to a six. week period
over 18 months time.

Seniors to help with hall

Goderich Township WI
The monthly meeting of
the Goderich Township
Women's Institute (WI)
was held on November 10
when it was decided that
the group would take a
bus trip on December 3 to
the Erland Lee Home in
Stoney Creek. The home,
where the WI was first
formed, will be decorated
for Christmas, 1800's
style. The cost to go on
the trip is $9 each and
everydne is asked to
ing their lunch. On the
way home, the group will
stop for supper.
The bus will leave from
Goderich and Clinton and

Everyone is welcome to
attend.
The WI held their first
successful euchre party
with seven ,tables taking
part- The winners .in-
cluded: ladies' high,
Pearl tammings; ladies'
low, Isobel Harris ; lone
hands, Betty Thompson;
men's high, Frank
Thompson; men's low,
Bill McIlwain. Lunch was
served by the WI group
and the next ca.rd party in
scheduled for Novernber
27 at the Holmesville
School.
