PINEAPPLE COCOANUT
CAKE
11/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine y t
2 sp. salt
1 cup white sugar 1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup crushed
undrained pineapple
TOPPING : 1/2 cup brown sugar; 1/2 cup cocoanut.
Sift together flour, salt and soda. Cream butter
and sugar well; add eggs and vanilla' and beat.
Add creamed mixture to dry mixture. Mix well.
Fold in undrained pineapple. Pour into greased
and lightly floured 9" square pan. Combine
brown sugar an' cocoanu ;.n -top of
cake. Bake at 375, dekrees for 45 minutes or until
done. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

EASY RHUBARB CAKE
Into greosed 13 x 9 x 2 inch cake pan put 4 cups
chopped rhubarb. Sprinkle 3/4 cup white sugar
over rhubarb. Sprinkle one 3 oz. package
. strawberry jello over that. Then sprinkle one
pouch white cake mix over. Pour 1 cup water
over everything and dot with one-third cup
butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Easy
and delicious! •
CHOCOLATE CAKE
1 cup white sugar +
Cup cocoa
,Add '/2 cup shortening
Cream together, then add
again.
Add;
11/2 cups flour
1 cup sour milk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 40
minutes.

TOMATO SOUP CAKE
1 cup shortening (or butter)
1 upwhite-sugar--

1 tin tomato soup (10 oz.)
11/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup fruit - dates, raisins, mixed or glazed fruit
1/2 cup chopped nut meats
Method Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
Sift flour. Measure. Add 'spices, salt and soda.
Sift again. Add flour and tomato soup alter-
nately. Add chopped fruit and nutmeats. Bake in
a square pan at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
