Clinton News-Record, 1980-11-08, Page 42Fe ed 'em cowl CHICKEN CASSEROLE In a casserole put: 1 pkg. frozen broccoli which has been cooked 3-4 chicken breasts which have been boiled and deboned. Cut chicken in long pieces and lay on top of broccoli. • Grate 11/z cups cheddar cheese over chicken. Pour 1 can cream of chicken soup over cheese. Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs on top. Add dabs of butter and grate cheese over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. _ ---Sy efa NI,�P1 be RR3 Auburn SPEEDY CHICKEN, RICE AND CHEESE SOUP CASSEROLE Turn on oven to 425 degrees F. Into the bottom of a large, shallo~- ^asserole, sprinkle one and one- third, cups dry i.,. tant rice. Distribute over it one 12 oz. package fresh frozen green peas with small white onions. Open 10 oz. can condensed cheese soup and pour it into a saucepan. Add 1 cup hot water, and bring to boil. Pour half evenly over the vegetables and rice. Arrange 5 previously cooked chicken legs and thighs neatly on top. To remaining cheese soup add 1 teaspoon curry powder, blending in with beater. Pour evenly over chieke ► g . Sprinkle generously with paprika. Bake a 425 degrees P for 25 minutes. Note: If raw c icken legs are used: cover and cook 50 mins-. By Mrs. Jean Aitchison, 'Wingham CANTONESE CHICKEN WINGS -- 3lb. chicken wings 1 tablespoon cooking oil 1 tablespoon soya sauce 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 -1 teaspoon celery seed 1 can tomato soup 1/4 cup vinegar Wash wings in cold water and cut off tips - save to make broth if you wish. Cut remainder of wing at the joint. Pat dry and arrange in single layer in a large shallow pan. Mix oil and soya sauce and. brush over wings - use all of it. Mix sugar, salt, chili powder, and celery seed and sprinkle over top. Place 5 inches below preheated broiler and brown - be careful not to burn it! Remove and spread soup and vinegar mixture over top. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 1 - 11A hours.
