joyable 21/2 week vacation
in Wawa, It was well,
timed to catch the beauty
of the fall colour`s in the
nortiern forests.
Bob and Bettie Keyes
of Grand ,Bend were in
the Varna area on
Friday, and visited Ivan
and Marg McClymont in
the afternoon and spent
the evening with the
Chessells. Bob, son of
James Keyes, was born ..

councillor Milton Van
Patter appeared in
provincial court in
Goderich Monday and
was remanded to Nov. 3
for formal reading of 10
charges of fraud in-
volving about $70,000.
The 52 -year-old real
estate agent was arrested
Aug 11 on three charges
lleging frauds totalling
30,000 following three
eeks ofinvestigations
by Det. -Sgt. D. A.
Ormsby of the OPP anti -
rackets squad in Toronto.
Seven charges were
added by the time he
appeared in court Aug.
25. The allegations in-
volve claims of unpaid
loans from local persons.
