Norman won the
Hallowe'en contest. The
tree contest was won by
Verna Lobb and
Margaret Farquhar and
six members honed their
skill at art by drawing a
rider on a broncho with a
pail of oats and a tree
under a full moon. This
had to be accomplished in
the dark and the con-
testants were Marty
Lobb, Jean Ginn, Irene
Cudmore, Barb Bettles,
Gail Wilson and Phyllis
Cox. The judges had a
very difficult timne
trying to decide the north
end of the horses and also
the positions of the riders.
The final results ended in
a draw.
To conclude the
evening, Jean Ginn spoke
on her trip to Australia
and New Zealand by the
articles she purchased'
there. Members found
this to be a most -in-
teresting and informative
and everyone had an
enjoyable evenng and
were sorry that other
members of the team
couldn't be present.

EXETER - A suggestion
that "week of the child"
be desginated in Exeter.
has failed to gain any
support from the town
council.
The suggestion was
made by Councillor Jay
Campbell, ,who said the
contribution of local
youngsters could be
recognized and also that
people could be en-
couraged to "hug some
kid' once during the
week."
His suggestion caught
most members by total
surprise and it was
finally resolved when
Deputy Reeve Harold
Patteson suggested
members be given more
time to consider the
(matter.
