pensation for turning up
at work an hour earlier
these past mornings and
that is to drive up the
Bayfield road as the
rising sun catches the tips
of the already turning
maples. For a fleeting
moment, gone is the
urgency of newspaper
deadlines and all else as
the sheer beauty of the
reds, crimsons, oranges
and yellows of nature
takes over.
Someone else caught
the feeling nuch better
than my words could ever
express. As Avis Hopkins

How to Make Paper
Paper creates much of our garbage. It's easy to turn
used aper into new paper. Follow the directions below
and learn how to recycle paper.
To make paper you need:
Iarge bowl
egg* beater
starch
used paper
netk spa per'
5square of window Ncreen
hot water
Directions:
1. Tear used paper into small pieces and place in bowl.
2. Pill bowl with hot water and add tuo tspof starch.
:3. Let paper soak for '2 hr.
4. Bet until soft and, mushy to make pulp
5. Dip screen it() bol.
6. Drip excess water back it() bowl.
7, Carefully turn screen upside down onto newspaper.
8. Slowly lift iNcreen from pulp.
9. Let pulp dry until it stiffens but is still damp.
10.With a knife, carefully lift slightly damp "Ilomema!le
paper" from bewspSper.
11.Let the paper dry completely.

sloped to accommodate
the movement of
wheelchairs up and down:

Society office has moved
from its old location on
Albert Street Clinton to 20
Isaac Street, next door to
Arnold Riley's Barber
Shop.
The I.O.O.F. and
Rebekahs held their first
card party on October 23.

Bazaar and Bake Sale
held last Saturday under

Madeleine Lane
Auxiliary was well
patronized success
despite a dreary, cold
day. A new note WaS
injected with the
presence of a
delicatessen table
sponsored by the New
Dimensions Group of St.
Andrew's Presbyterian
Church. Both groups
were grateful to their
minister, Rev. Thomas
Duke, who made a
special trip over from the
Manse in Seaforth to open
the proceedings.

Beavers into lodges to

Beavers: Colony B:
The Beavers gathered at
the pond with a fun game
of Beaver Ball. Hawkeye
performed the opening
ceremony before dividing players; Greg Dinning,
the Beavers into lodges to readers and personal
handicraft "paper plate fitness; and Michael
pumpkins". Next week is Essery, artist.

will be introduced to the
Beavers and the "Tails"

was very successful and
$540 was raised for the
Beavers, Cubs and
Scouts. The groups wish
to say "thank you" for
the suppot. Also a thank
you to drivers, kitahen
helpers and money
counters. It was much
appreciated. One man
often averlooked 'during
–the year is Ed Layton,
custodian for the Ontario
Street United Church.
After special events and
meetings the groups
create extra. woric and
clean up, so the Cubs and
Scouts say "thank you."
