Enterprising Seniors

the entertainment and
lunch for the next
meeting.
After the ctober 16
meeting, table were set
up and everyone joined in
a few games of crokinole.

Sunday, they attended

40th wedding anniversary
dinner which was held at

They then .went to Brian
and Jean Durnin's for the

Don and Isobel Harris
also attended the Dur-
nin's anniversary dinner.
Mrs. Durnin is Isobel's
sister and they all en-
joyed a visit at the home
of Briar, and Jean Dur-
nin.

Selwood of Barrie was
visitors on the weekend
with Joyce's parents
Clarence and Jean
Perdue.

notes

Keith and Vera Miller,
along with Ray and
Estelle Wise spent the
Thanksgiving weekend
on a bus tour through the
Laurentian Mountains in
Quebec. They arrived at
Ste. Marguerite Station in
Quebec on .Saturday
afternoon and spent the
night at the rustic Alpine
Inn, a popular winter ski
lodge.
On Sunday; their tour
returned along ,the
Gatineau Parkway to
Ottawa. The autumn
colors 'were brilliant
along the entire drive.
The Millers and Wises
report that they enjoyed a
guided tour of Ottawa and
• travelled on to Peter-
borough the next morning
for a Thanksgiving feast
before returning home.
John Deeves returned
home on Saturday after
spending four days in•the
Shouldice Clinic in
Thornhill.
The apple pickers are
busy at Don Middleton's
and are hoping to get the
spies in before they
freeze.
St. James Anglican
Church was filled on
Sunday morning for the
weekly serLice and
Blanche Deeves was the
reader for the service,
Rev. William Bennett
reminded the
congregation to be
cheerful in his sermon.
