Fluor ide.-42 Cards and darts at Legion By Steve Cooke Well, there was lots of activity at the old Legion Hall, last week, and I think I even heard about it all. The ' men's 'euchre got elf to a 'good start with 14 tables on the -go. They still haveroom for „*ore, however, and new members are w.elcgme to drop down on 'Tuesday nights. Last week, Eric Schellenberger turned in the high score with an 86 and Cliff Ashton roust have had. a bad night, as he brought up the other end of the scale. There appears to have been a lot of lone hands floating around as Les Turner, Bill Jenkins, Chas. Brandon -anti Randy-Glew-- all tied for the high spot with five each. All in all, it was a very goodnight. The mixed darts had a small crowd for openers last week,°but the spirit was there and everyone had a good time. Doris Chambers and John Scott came up as the high couple, while Joyce Scott and Dave Hanley turned in the low score. The high score for the ladies was won by Millie Hanley with a 133 and by George Yeats for the men with a 122. This week the darts will be held on Thursday night (tonight), so if you didn't make it out last time, now, is your chance. It will be determined each week whether the next game will be held on a Wednesday o_ r Thur- ,sday night. • There' ate lots of ac- tivities coming up, so get out your pencil and mark these dates on your cale ndar.
