shows her tennis form. (CHSS photo,
Player of
the week
This is the first of a
series of short articles to
introduce some members
of our school sports
teams. Their nanl'es have
been submitted to The
Chronicle by the coaches
of the teams on which
theyplay.
These '. people don't
necessarily represent the
stars of their teams but
are examples of students
who give a lot to and get a
lot from "playing the
game."
This series has just
been started and thus the
first person featured is
from a sport which
started earliest in the
school year.
Marianne Menzies has
been on the school tennis
team for the last few
years. She has played
tennis for about three
years with the Goderich
Tennis Club. Marianne
has gotten most of her
practice outside school.
She has played in the
singles category at
school.
Marianne is also in-
terested in other sports
such as curling and
badminton. Sports where
she is by herself rather
than on a team are what
she prefers. Marianne
has been on the school
curling and badminton
teams as well as tennis.
Thank you
