drawing power for the
former owners or their
descendants. This past
summer and fall the
Hunter Home on Kirk
Street, formerly known
as the Dr. , Gunn home,
became the object of such
pilgrimages.
In September, Dr.
Gunn's granddaughter,
Mrs. Marion Lebel of
Toronto carne to see her
grandfather's home for
the first time since 1938
when she used to spend
summer holidays there.
Earlier, the house was
visited by Mrs. Hayward
of New York who" is the
granddaughter of
Richard Irwin, who built

B.C. to attend the wed.
ding of their son and
brother, Jim to Martha
Mack. Jim and Bev
,Broadfoot joined there
three days later. Others
attending the wedding
from Ontario were Paul
Galachiuk and Phil
Potter.
While in British
Columbia, they stayed at
the home of their
daughter,_ Joanne_
Wayne Farrell and
family and were given
the grand tour of Van-
couver Island. Included
in the visit was a trip to
Victoria to see the
famous Butchart Gar-
dens.
After the wedding on
October 4, an openhouse
was held for the bride and
groom hosted by Joanne
and Wayne Farrell. The
Cudmores were en-
tertained by many
friendsof the bride and
- groom including Mr. and
Mrs. Ed Cumby. The only
event which marred the
visit was the Air Traffic
Controllers' strike in
Toronto. Jim and Bev
Broadfoot and Paul
Galachiuk were delayed
in Vancouver two days.
Everyone arrived home,
admittedly tired, but all
had a wonderful holiday.
Mrs. Lucy Bezzo has
returned from a seven
week holiday in B.C.
While there, she
celebrated her birthday
with her son Fred and
family.
Anyone wishing to
learn more about ar-
thritis will have an ex-
cellent opportunity if they
attend a public forum to
be held at Northside"
United Church, Goderich
Street West, Seaforth on
Tuesday, October 21 from
7:30 to 9:30 p. m.
A panel of .experts
including a
rheumatologist and a
physiotherapist from
London and Dr. Ken
Rodney from Seaforth
will be present to discuss
arthritis and answer
questions. Mr. Lou Vince,
Western Region -
Representative will be
moderator. Admission is
free. This forum has been
arranged by the Clinton
and Seaforth branches of
the Arthritis Society.

lot of fun. First we got out
the carpet, the toadstool,
4-H news
The second meeting of
the first Clinton 4H Club
was held on October 4 at
president Melissa
Broadfoot's home. ,
We -made mlade ground beef
tacos and answered our
roll call which was "The
stir fry I,made at home."
We learned more about
food processors and the
safety of small ap-
pliances from our leader
Julie Taylor.
The third meeting was
held on October 8 and the
home of Lisa and Lorelei
Robinson. We made
cabbage rolls and talked
about pressure cookers
and slow cooking..
We arranged to have a
Hallowe'en party at our
leader Carol Edwards' -
home on Monday,
October 27 at 8 pm.

Then the Brown OwI said,

Then we sing, "Brown

Then we put our
carpet, toadstool and
hooter in the middle of
the Twinies. Then we say
our promise and put our
flag with them.Next we
do our six songs, We hang
onto hands and dance
around - the circle. Then
we do Brownie gold. Next
we get into • our groups.
There are Twinies,
Golden Bar and Golden
Hand. We work on our
golden hand badge. We
played a couple of games
on Wednesday. I --like
Brownies. It's a lot of fun.

TOWN OF CLINTON
NOTICE is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Town of Clin-
ton in the County of Huron that the period during which nomination
papers may be filed in the office of the clerk for the purpose of
municipal elections will commence on October 16, 1980 at the hour of
9:00 a.m, and close on October 20th, 1980 at the hour of 5:00 p.m. for

for the Town of Clinton; of which all Electors are hereby required to
take notice and govern themselves accordingly, and further take
notice that the manner in which said nominations shall be filed is set
forth in section 36
(1) A person may be nominated as a candidate for an office by filing, either per-
sonally or through his agent, in the office of the clerk, on the days and during the
hours specified In subsection 2 of section 35, a nomination paper In prescribed form
which,
(a) shall be signed by at least ten electors whose names are entered on the
preliminary list of electors or who have mode application to have their names in-
cluded on the list and who are entitled to vote in the election to such office;
(b) shall state the name and address of the person nominated in such manner as will
identify him and the office forwhich he is nominated;
(2) No nomination is valid unless there is filed with the nomination paper a consent in
writing to the nomination and a declaration of qualification in theprescribed form by
the person nominated. •
(3) Each porion to be nominated for election to an office shall be nominated by a
separate nomination paper, but an Wetter May sign more than one nomination paper
for the same person and the nomination papers of more than one person.
(6) After a nomination paper is certified by the clerk, it shall remain in the possession
of the clerk but shall be open to inspection by any person during the normal office
hours of the clerk.
(7) The onus is on the person nominated for election to an office to file a bona fide
nomination paper.
If a greater number of candidates thae' required to fill the said of-
fices, are nominated and make the requiiild deicidration, notice of
the time for the holding of the poll, including the advance poll and
notice of the last day of making applications for a certificate to vote
by proxy will be given forthwith. Given under my hand the 9th day
