The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Atz.drey Stanley of RR 5, Clinton and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Blanchard of Winthrop. Rev. Vanslyke of- ficiated at the double ring ceremony and Graeme Craig of Walton sang special wedding music and accompanied himself on theguit_ar. Led up the aisle by her uncle Doug Jones of Brucefield, the bride wore a long satin knit dress with lace covered bodice and Queen Anne neckline. She wore a lace coveted carriage hat that fell into a waist -length veil. To complete her outfit, the bride carried a lace covered Bible, decorated with burgandy roses. The bride's' sister, Cindy Young of RR 5, Clinton, was the matron of honour. Another sister Shelly McMilland of RR 5, Seaforth and the groom's sister Susan Blanchard • of Vanastra were the bridesmaids. They all were gowned in burgandy colored dresses that flowed to the floor. They :. carried white_. parasols with a bouquet „ of burgandy roses . at- tached to . the- handles of each. The flowergirls were Keary Stanley of RR 5, Seaforth, a niece of the bride and Kim Embling of Vanastra, . a niece of Barb. Hicks reported that the Candy Stripers served a total of 338 Volunteer hours during the month of September.. Tray , favors for Thanksgiving are being made by .,the Grade 4 class at the Clinton Christian School and Hallowe'en favorswiil-be provided by -the Vanastra Guides,: convenor Gerry Van Den Berg reported, Mrs. Coventry reported that the membership campaign has been completed and the Auxiliary now has 640 members. All members . are welcome :.to attend meetings . and . the Auxiliary services are in need of volunteers, particularly to sta e gift shop and the hair- dressing service. Alpha Huron will join forces with Equalaction; Stratford to "kick off" IYD- '81. The two_ _groups will hold abanquet on Friday, November 14 at the Kiwanis Arena in Stratford. Hearing Loss Is Not A Sign Of 'Old Age At the same meeting, Alpha Huron donated $50 to the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope and $25 to the CNIB. It was full in the back and fell into a long train. To complete her outfit, the bride carried a cascade of white carnations and small blue flowers, created from silk by Sandra D'Aoust of Dungannon, a friend of the bride and groom. Sharon Bonte-Gelok of Vanastra attended her sister as matron of honor. She wore a long peach colored gown that featured a N -neckline and, short • bell . sleeves. ' She carried nosegay of Matching ilk flowers. \Brides aids were Terry Wils n, a cousin of the bride from CFB Borden and Susie WaIsh,- a niece of the groom from Blyth. They wore beige colored gowns sirniliar to the matron of honor's and carried 'nosegays to xnatch their dresses, Tammy Holley, the daughter sof the bride, was the flowergirl and she wore a long white polyesterknit gown, trimmed with blue ribbon and a large ruffled hem. She carried a , basket of silk white daisies, ac- cented with blue flowers, Shelly Bonte-Gelok, a niece of the bride, carried the guest book.. The.. groom's close friend, Wayne McClin- chey of Londesboro, was- the asthe best man and guests were ushered into .the church by Claude D'Aoust, a friend of the groom, from Dungannon. Allan Bonte-Gelok, a nephew of the bride, from Vanastra was the junior usher and Kevin Macllveen, a friend of the flowergirl, was the ring bearer. Following the ceremony,a small gathering was held at the home of the bride and groom and white candles along with blue and white streamers decorated the emony head table. Sunday afternoon, the Exeter Emanuel Baptist Church had a service with Mr. Eral Leuis pastor of Hillview Baptist church 'in Montego Bay, Jamaica as the guest speaker. Mr. Leuis aid Linn F. Loshbough sang a duet during the programme. At Old Tyrne Music on Monday afternoon, the residents enjoyed a hymn sing led by Mrs. Betty Rogers. .Mrs. Henderson assisted at the piano. On Wednesday af- ternoon, the Over 90 Club met on First Floor North. Prank Bissett en- tertained the Over 90's with several selections on the piano. Second Floor ladies have been baking each Friday tnorning and have chosen recipes which do not require a baking so the residents are able to sample the result/ with a cup of °coffee after they are finished.
