Varna for the October
meeting of the UCW.

program and read

parable of the Prodigal
Son; and the value of
friends -- the calling of
the disciples and gave a
commentary on each.

Eleanor McAsh and
Dorothy Ostrom are
attending the Leadership
Workshops in crewel
embroidery given by the
Ministry of Agriculture
later this month and will
arrange classes locally
this winter. Twenty-five
dollars were donated to
the Leprosy Mission and
40 copies of the Psalms in
modern language will be
bought for use in the
church services.
A good profit was
realized from the turkey
supper so plans are being
made to replace the r
;threadbare carpet in the
choir loft.
Ms. Barbara Laing,
minister of Dashwood
and Zurich charge was to
be the speaker at the
regional meeting in
Bayfield on Monday
evening.
Tea and a delicious
dessert were served by
Dianne and Bonnie
during the discussion
period.
