The landscape up there was very picturesque with the trees all in their autumn colours. On to Sudbury where all one could sae were mountains of black rock on either side and not a blade of grass or vegetation for miles. Right on past the Big Nickel Mine to Sault Ste. Marie. There the tour continued with a trip on the Central Railway tour train following the tracks of the black bear through the wilderness' for more than 100 miles through rock tunnels and over gorges with trestles more than 1500 feet long up the Agawa Canyon, The 25- car train took five engines to pull it. Following this it was on to Ignace and Mackinaw City where they crossed the Mackinac Bridge. stretching five miles across the Straits of Mackinac. A stop was .made at Frankenrnuth to enjoy one of their famous chicken dinners. The trip ended .at home the following Thursday after travelling over one thousand miles and having a good time.
