4-H Club meet
The first meeting of the
Holmesville II 4-H club
was held at the home of
Mrs. Bev Van Ninhuys,
on September 20.
For the fall project,
"Food for Friends", the
election of officers took
place and were chosen as
follows: president, Gerda
Brand; vice-president,
Jeannie Brand;
treasurer, Denise Brand;
secretary and press
reporter, Belinda Cud -
more. Mrs. Bev Van
Ninhuys is our leader
with Cathy Van Ninhuys
as our assistant leader.
The girls answered roll
call with their books, and
also answered the
questions.
They learned how to
-cook Chinese style pork;
which consisted of
carrots, green peppers,
onions, rice and chopped
pork. This proved to be
quite a delicious dish -
unfortunately though we
didn't have any chop-
sticks to eat it with.
The next meeting was
to be held at Cathy Van
Ninhuys' on September
