in the pre -vet program
this year is 64 women and

John McIntosh, an
organist who has given
concerts all over the
continent and twice in
Great Britain in recent
.years, will be performing
at St. Thomas. Church in
Seaforth on Sunday,
October 5. Dr. - McIntosh
is a ',professor with the
Faculty of Music at the
University of Western
Ontario.

Patrol Leaders and Assistants held an informal
Court of Honour meeting ,on" the setting up of
atrols. The selection process of patrol members

A meeting of the group committee was held
Monday night at the home of Janet Cameron. It was
decided to close registration •for Beavers with 41
signed up. The Cubs have 33 registered, while
Scouter Wayne reports 24 registration for Scouts.
Boys can still register. for Scouts but the Scouts
need additional leaders., •
Dates to remember include: Oct. 24 and 25, Apple
Day; Feb. 14-81, Bake Sale; Feb. 22-80, pancake
breakfast.
The bingo scheduled for October 20 has been
cancelled.
Coloney A and B "Sharing Sharing Sharing"
that's ()Ur motto as Beavers gathered around
during sharing session to meet "Morf"; a special
little fellow who shares stories and "special things"
with the Beavers.
Following games . and stories, the Beavers
divided into groups to share in an imaginary fishing
trip'. From the Maitland River to the Amazon River
the Beavers travelled capturing or sighting
everything from sankes to whales. The Beavers
shared a fun time and experience with new friends.
A reminder to parents that next week is the in-
vestiture ceremony and .parents are invited
The Cubs spent Thursday night meeting old
friends and getting acquainted with the chums, the
newest members of the, Cub pack.
The Cubs have been busy this summer and
badges were awarded to: Terry Strickland,,house
orderly; _David Deickert, athletic badge, cyclist
badge and gardeners badge; Michael Essery,
