day's events at this
year's two-day Ciderfest
in Seaforth.
The September 27 and •
28 celebration will in-
clude a Bavarian tent,
which is held on theNan
Egmond house grounds.
Two musical groups
will entertain visitors on
the' site and guests will
have a chance to
demonstrate their. own
musical talents onstage.
. On Saturday evening,
the Ciderfest's first
Sippin' Cider Contest will
be held in the Seaforth
high school at 8 pm. The
featured guest for the
evening is • Ed Gyurki,
who is well known
throughout Ontario as the
seven time Canadian
Fiddle `champion. A
number of area groups
will also entertain, • in-
cluding the New
Canadian Club Klompen
dancer's, Clinton's Auld
•Tyme Club and the ukele
group from Huron
Centennial School.

troduced'her schedule for
• the pre-school story hour
that is to be held on
Thursday afternoons
from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in
the Kindergarten room of
the school. There are
about 15 children in-

mothers volunteering to
help Mrs. Hoskin each
week.
It was decided that
"Meet the Teacher
Night" would be held on
Tuesday: Oct." 14 at 8:30
p.m. in the school. Guest
speaker will be Ron
Gladding, who is the
Family Life Program Co-
Ordinating Director of
the Huron -Perth
Separate School Board.
Future plans for
projects and objectives of
the C.P.T.A. were
discussed and the
meeting was closed with

Monday evening Sept. 8
with Mrs. Beatrice Stoll
and Mrs. Hazel
McNaughton taking
Devotions with Mrs. Ann
Broadfoot at the piano.
Mrs. McNaughton
spoke on the "fruit of the
vine" and "fruit of . the
spirit, " followed by a
reading. Members gave
extra collection for the
two summer months
while on.vacation.
Mrs. Hazel McCartney
presided over the
business portion and 13
members answered the
roll call by naming a
vegetable beginning with
their initial and how they
had spent their summer.
Mrs. Doreen Mustard
thanked the Unit for
cards she had received
during her illness and it
was announced that there
would be no bazaar this
fall.
The Regional Rally is
to be held October 6 at
Bayfield Church and Mrs.

BINGO
Starting Sept. 22

Stoll gave an interesting
talk on her day at Alma
College.
The unit is in charge of
flowers for the church
during October and the
project for October is to
be a Dutch Auction.
The Thankoffering will
be held September 30 and
the Annual Beef Supper is
set for October 8.
